I founded Young Hearts Therapy to offer children and adolescents a safe, supportive space where they can make sense of their experiences and feel accepted, understood and valued for who they are

Support that reflects their age and stage

Children and teenagers often communicate distress in very different ways. My approach adapts to the individual young person, using play, creativity, conversation and therapeutic relationship in ways that feel natural and developmentally appropriate.

For
children

Child-Centred Play Therapy helps children express and explore what is happening for them when words are difficult.

I work with children experiencing anxiety, loss, separation, friendship or school difficulties, as well as those affected by developmental trauma. My approach is neuroaffirming and responsive to each child’s individual way of experiencing and communicating.

For
adolescents

Adolescence can bring changes in identity, relationships and emotional wellbeing, and it is not always easy to put those experiences into words.

I work with adolescents experiencing anxiety, low mood, self-harm, relationship difficulties or questions around identity, as well as those affected by trauma. My approach is neuroaffirming and responsive to each young person’s individual way of experiencing and communicating.

Therapy is not about fitting a young person into a particular method. It is about building a safe relationship and finding the ways of working that best help them make sense of their experiences and self.
